I'm sure you're all excited about this return to normalcy, if that's what it is, but I still have one question for our new lord and master.

Worlds like this one don't revive on their own, not from the inside. The power has to come from somewhere - usually someone. Someone human, in the real world.

So: Who rejuvenated this one?

Someone from the outside, more likely. Someone with a use for this place.

That's not a particularly comforting thought. I have to wonder what kind of use this person would have for the ship, and does that use include us passengers.

He's with the Chief of Police, and he's the snotty little bastard who shot me.

Could be the latter. Especially if he found out the gun didn't have the effect he was hoping for.

Relationships always are. [Though possibly not as 'complicated' as the one he's hinting at.]

I can't help but think there's something bigger than a personal grudge at work here however. [She's not saying he's wrong. Personal grudges have been at play on the barge before. She merely thinks that might be too simple an explanation and things are rarely simple around here.]
