I'm sure you're all excited about this return to normalcy, if that's what it is, but I still have one question for our new lord and master.

Worlds like this one don't revive on their own, not from the inside. The power has to come from somewhere - usually someone. Someone human, in the real world.

So: Who rejuvenated this one?

You've done something like this before. Rejuvenated a world.

Not me, no. My human did, once. Daisuke.

[Blankly.]

Yeah. [ His voice gets loud, boisterous even. ] He's kind of like a pet, or a disguise. Kid's got his uses.

[You can't quite hear her teeth grind down the line, but it's close. Pets, she knows.]

Tell me about rejuvenating worlds. How did he do it?

[ Too bad he doesn't care to so much as notice, what a jerk. His tone is serious again. ]

He painted. Somehow it called out to the Second Hand of Time, woke it up from hundreds of years of sleep. Everyone thought the Second Hand was dead, but he managed to bring it back.

[ He doesn't talk about Daisuke like he's a pet. He speaks like Daisuke is a person who is valuable and perhaps enviable. Like the little brother who's long since surpassed you. ]

[Furiosa listens. It sounds, honestly, like the kind of thing that doesn't really apply to her world, so she files it under a swing and a miss. Time won't do much for her world, any hand of it.

As for the shift in tone while discussing Daisuke- she notices, and files that away, too.]

And you think it applies to the boat.

[ She tried, anyway. ]

I think it's something similar. Maybe you can't feel it, but I can. This isn't the real world.

[That's a little abstract for her.

Furiosa waits, expectantly.]

[ It's an abstract feeling, okay? And he clearly doesn't think that's what she's waiting for because he completely ignores the silent question. ]

Whatever it is, it doesn't seem to have the same effect on humans as other, weaker worlds.
