Hold it together, birds of a feather
Who: Phantom Thief Dark and YOU
What: Theft
Where: The Louvre, various assorted museums and furniture stores
When: All port, during the dark hours - also Day 1 while making nefarious plans
Warnings: Probably misinformation about famous artworks, says the biochemist
Dark was determined to take full advantage of the port. His sad attempt at asking nicely for new housing arrangements had failed miserably. That was fine by him: it meant he would have to take care of decorating on his own. That meant 'shopping'.
He spent most of the first day in Paris scoping out the museums and high end shops, deciding on what he wanted to decorate his room with. He didn't bother scoping out the Louvre. He'd been there before, and spent enough time looking around to know where everything was and what kind of security was in place.
That night he wrote up the notices. They went out in time so that the museum would have at least twenty four hours to prepare for him. He knew from experience that the chances of some of them taking him seriously were pretty low. The shops, for one, would have no reason to believe someone would break in to steal one or two pieces of furniture without setting off their security measures. Others might think it was nothing but a prank. That was fine by him. He wasn't out to put on a show this time. If a few news stations picked up the story and a few guards were a little more alert, all the better.
Under the cover of darkness he waited for the appointed hours, wearing his usual trenchcoat in all black. The Louvre would take some creative maneuvering, but the smaller places he would enter through the roof. So, naturally, he approached from the highest point he could find, spreading his wings at the right moment before disappearing into the place in question.
